UPAS (Unified Procedures and Advisory System) is designed with privacy as a core principle. This policy describes how UPAS handles data.
Data Collection
What UPAS Does NOT Collect
UPAS does not collect:
- User queries or prompts
- Operational context or content
- Device identifiers or fingerprints
- Usage patterns or analytics
- Location data
- Personal information
What UPAS Does Collect
When you visit the UPAS website (this site), standard web server logs may record:
- IP addresses (anonymised where possible)
- Browser type and version
- Pages visited
- Referrer information
This logging is standard for web hosting and is not used for tracking or profiling.
On-Device Processing
UPAS is an offline-first application. When using the UPAS PWA:
- All inference happens locally: Queries are processed on your device using cached AI models
- No data transmission: Queries and responses never leave your device
- No API calls for inference: There are no server-side APIs processing your queries
- No telemetry: UPAS does not phone home or report usage
Procedure Packs
Procedure packs are downloaded to your device and cached locally:
- Content is served from your organisation's chosen CDN
- Downloads are standard HTTPS requests
- No query content is transmitted during sync
- Pack metadata does not include user information
Third-Party Services
Hugging Face
If your deployment uses models hosted on Hugging Face:
- Model artefacts are downloaded via HTTPS
- Hugging Face's privacy policy applies to those downloads
- UPAS does not transmit query content to Hugging Face
Hosting Provider
This website is hosted on standard infrastructure. The hosting provider's privacy policy applies to server logs.
Data Security
- All connections use HTTPS
- Cached content is stored in browser storage
- No persistent identifiers are created by UPAS
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Use UPAS without providing personal information
- Clear cached data at any time
- Review browser storage contents
